The Brand Tale
Hi! I'm Kristin Barber. For more than 20 years, I navigated two distinct lives, unaware that they were both preparing me for a unified purpose. During the day, I crafted communications strategies for Fortune 500 companies. I oversaw product launches, developed training programs for sales teams, and created communication systems for intricate business offerings, mastering the art of transforming confusion into clarity on a large scale. My work ranged from high-speed smartphone launches to internal culture initiatives, always with one goal in mind: ensuring that messages resonated with those who needed to hear them.
By night (and in every spare moment), I pursued a Master's in Organizational Development Psychology and completed yoga teacher trainings. I shifted my entire perspective on health, shifting pharm to farm and from treating symptoms to understanding and nourishing holistic systems.
While the office was excited about upcoming launches and beating the competition, I was daydreaming about taking a yoga class with the studio owner after discussing a content strategy for their upcoming workshop series.

All these tools and practices were guiding me to my authentic purpose.
My holistic practice brought me purpose, presence, and sanity during challenging times, deepening my understanding of community and reinforcing my belief that there is room for everyone to thrive together if we uplift one another, rather than the competitive nature of the corporate structure that burned me out.
That year was a blessing; stripped of limitations, expectations and distractions. I grew stronger, leaner and healther, focusing on the practices that served me like yoga, paddling, landscaping, hiking, and enjoying every unscheduled moment and missed call. I let go of the brand impressions that no longer served me to make space for my brand.
And one day, it came over me like a wave.
While I appreciated all the past lessons, I was burnt out in the present, and the future didn't spark passion inside me.
After 17 years at Verizon, I found myself at the peak of my career. All my marketing projects were exceeding KPIs, and I was implementing new communication systems and tools, thriving creatively within the structure.
Then, Verizon announced a voluntary separation for a large workgroup. While I appreciated all the past lessons, I was burnt out in the present, and the future there lit no flame inside me.
Verizon provided me with invaluable tools and resources, teaching me to think strategically, communicate effectively across various teams, and launch intricate products, programs, and systems throughout the organization. I learned how to navigate obstacles to deliver results while conveying complex information with clarity. It also taught me how to focus attention, prepare accordingly but pivot fast in critical moments while managing multiple high-level projects.

A brand in flow shows up with clarity, consistency, and authenticity.
Its visuals, voice, and systems align with the experience of working with it, creating familiarity and trust.
That’s how I support my clients. I help you connect the inner and outer layers of your brand so it feels aligned, steady, and ready to grow.
Authentic Connection
There’s a phenomenon you’ve likely experienced, even if you’ve never named it.
One evening on the Dunedin Causeway in Florida, I was paddleboarding back to shore when the wind shifted and the water turned choppy. It wasn’t unsafe, but it demanded presence. Bean, my little Merpoodle, and I weren’t interested in getting brined, so I took a breath and said, “I am this board. I am this water. I am this body.”
Everything else fell away. I felt the rhythm of the paddle, the small adjustments in my body, and the way momentum carried us forward. Fully focused. Fully connected. I laughed as the rush hit and then surprised myself by saying, “If I can do this, I can run my own business.”
You may recognize this feeling from your practice, your work, or meditation. In yoga, it shows up in vinyasa flow. In psychology, it’s known as flow state, a condition of deep focus, clarity, and aligned action.
Later that night, my thoughts returned to branding and how to communicate its value to people who care about intention and meaningful connection.
That's when it all aligned.
